Set in a mountainous region, the northeastern state of Nagaland shares its borders with Myanmar and the Indian states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur.
Nagaland recognises 16 tribes, each of which have their own distinct customs, cultures, dress, beliefs, festivals and language. The major tribes are the Angami, Ao, Konyak, Sema and Rengma.
