BEST OF EAST INDIAN WILDLIFE

Assam is undeniably blessed with abounding natural heritage – it has two UNESCO World Heritage Sites and several other impressive national parks and wildlife sanctuaries. The state is noted to be one of the richest biodiversity zones in the world, comprising tropical rainforests, deciduous forests, riverine grasslands, and numerous wetland ecosystems. Assam is also the last refuge for many endangered species like the Indian Rhinoceros, Golden Langur, White-Winged Wood Duck, Bengal Florican, Black-breasted Parrotbill, Pygmy Hog, and Greater Adjutant Stork.

Kaziranga and Manas are two of the best national parks in Assam and, arguably, in all of India.
