Tucked away in the northeastern corner of India, discover Assam's tea history and current way of life; try your hand at plucking tea leaves; and witness the entire process of manufacturing from Weathering to Crushing, Tearing and Curling in the CTC machines to drying and packaging.

The home of many ethnic communities – such as the Khasis (of Mon-Khmer ancestry), the Garos (of Tibeto-Burman origin) and the Jaintias – learn more about their unique customs and cultures, including their adherence to the matrilineal system. Drive 2 hours (one way) to Cherrapunjee | Elephant Falls | Shillong Peak | Nohkalikai Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India | Mawsmai Cave |

Seven Sister Falls | Drive back to Shillong

DAY 3 | SHILLONG - DAY TRIP TO MAWLYNNONG

Drive 3 hours (one way) to Mawlynnong, Asia's cleanest village | Walk to Single Decker Living Root Bridge | Observe cultural of local village |

Drive back to Shillong

DAY 4 | KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Drive for approx. 7 hours to Kaziranga National Park | Check into hotel | Rest of day at leisure

 

DAY 5 | KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Elephant Safari | Jeep Safari | Visit to tea garden

DAY 6 | JORHAT
